Hello Part Time Millionaires, I am so excited for today’s episode because I am going to share a behind the scenes of my hiring process for my most recent 6 figure launch of Million Dollar Email.
We enrolled over 50 new clients and it has been a dream seeing the community get bigger and better.
Right before my launch, one of my support coaches put their notice in and I needed to hire a new person. At the same time, I received notice that another coach would be taking maternity leave this year.
And this would normally freak people out. But I was not worried at all. Because I use my signature hiring process which makes it super easy and I never have a break in the support I’m receiving as a CEO.
I am going to share with you:
I want to start by saying that hiring a VA or Co Coaches is so easy.
I teach my mastermind clients a 2 week hiring system that helps them get high quality VAs and Co Coaches fast. This means they get the support they need quickly even if they have someone unexpectedly leave.
They know exactly what role to hire, how to define their role for their unique business, how to choose and audit a test project for the role. I also provide them with an automated hiring workflow so this entire process can be executed fast and nothing is manual for them.
Whenever people say that you need to really take your time to find the right VA or Co Coach and it’s hard to find good people and all that stuff, that’s not the case for my clients. Usually this is a Systems and a Mindset issue. If you think hiring is hard it’s because you either don’t have the systems, or you have limiting thoughts about your past hires, your current contractors, etc.
I teach my clients to think in process over people. What that means is I teach them to become so confident in their business processes, that they believe anyone can run them. Most “bad” hires (and I say that loosely) was really just a bad process.
Here’s how I hired 2 support coaches in 2 weeks:
Let’s break down each of these.
I thought about what new features or experience I was already planning to add or wanted to add to the program.
Whenever I have to hire a replacement VA or Co Coach in my business, I don’t worry. Instead, I start dreaming. I’m like okay what do I want to update or what do I want to create? I think about how this new hire will pay itself off because I’ll have them do this which will then lead to that.
I knew I wanted to add a Writing Call and I knew I wanted to sell my on demand copy review feature hard this round. I also knew I wanted to add coaches with DFY experience because we get a ton of DFY questions.
I also wanted to make sure the roles were clearly defined as well. So there wasn’t any confusion internally on who is doing what and when.
So, I decided: We are doing a Monthly Email Writing Call and we are hiring a Coach with DFY Experience. They will be available for anything we need but their primary focus will be the monthly writing call and copy reviews. I also decided to hire a second person so that there’d be no break in support if anyone else is on vacation or leave.
I made these decisions very quickly. This is key to note. Because a lot of times my clients think they need to spend so much time thinking things through when you can make great decisions fast. That’s another Million Dollar CEO Skill I teach inside the Mastermind.
I looked at past and current students that fit the new features or experience I decided to add to the program and personally invited them to apply
From there, I reached out to a few people and then just had them go through my hiring system.
They went through my hiring system and they were onboarded, trained and coaching in the community within 2 weeks. This entire process was systematized and delegated between my other Co Coaches and my Ops Person.
I have an automated onboarding and training for coaching in my program so I don’t have to be involved at all. The only thing I did was update our Coaching Call SOP to include the Monthly Calls.
So how did these hires contribute to my 6 figure launch?
Because I made these hires, I was confident in my ability to add a new feature, use that in my launch marketing and promote a current one even harder.
I was able to market the Monthly Writing Call and the On Demand Copy Reviews, without any fear that it would overwhelm my team.
Adding in a new Monthly Call also elevated my client experience, and engaged both current and new clients.
This is why hiring is the first step to making more money than you ever have, in the most peaceful and confident way possible.
You get to scale and enroll more clients than ever while improving your client experience, not taking away from it.
Your program will get BETTER as you grow it, when you have the systems to hire and train.
Multiple clients have told me how impressed they are with our coaches, and for this round, we had people submitting email sales wins faster than they EVER have.
Not because of me. Because of my TEAM and my SYSTEMS. I wasn’t required to be the one that coached them to get their results.
Hire slow and fire fast is not a money making strategy.
Hiring is going to help you improve your client experience, uniquely position your offer and generate more sales.
Sometimes I have clients that will wait to hire for a number of reasons. They’ll say it’s because they want to see what their next move in their business is going to be first or they are focusing on systems first or they want to just launch and make some money and then they will.
When you delay hiring, you put yourself out of your #1 job, which is to create sales. You will make less sales, the less you hire.
I’ve helped multiple clients go through an easy hiring process right before a launch and every time it has been their highest launch to date.
I helped a mastermind client hire a Co Coach right before a launch to deliver a super high touch, amazing launch incentive and to deliver a new on demand feature in their program. People were saying that it was the best incentive they ever saw and she didn’t even have to deliver it.
I was coaching a million dollar earner and she wanted to offer a 1:1 launch incentive but really didn’t want to deliver it. We found a person she could hire within minutes and figured out that not only could they deliver the incentive but could also offer an entirely new, game changing feature in the program as well.
With this incentive, she’s already generated her highest amount of webinar registrants and will have her highest launch to date.
All because she hired.
This same person was delaying hiring an assistant to help coordinate their events. She wanted to make sure she could “find the right person for the job” and it was causing her to not make a decision at all. I helped her make a decision and that led to a client event that created an amazing client experience and leads for what became a $400,000 launch.
All of these hires paid for themselves right away.
Simple hires that are creating an even better client experience. That are contributing to huge launches. That are providing so much support that the payroll is a drop in the bucket.
