Today is for the Video Queens. If you’re not a video queen don’t listen. Just kidding! But this episode is really designed to help my Video Queens make more money with email because a lot of you are already writing emails and actually even making some email sales here and there.
But if you’re already writing emails, then y’all need to start making them better and doubling your conversions.

How to know whether you have an email strategy problem even if you make a email sales here and there
You have an email strategy problem and I would venture to say a messaging and overall sales problem if you aren’t converting at least 50% of your launches with email. Because if you’re not converting 50% with email, your videos probably aren’t converting that well either.
Here’s why:
Converting 50% of clients with email requires you to answer more questions for multiple types of buyers and clients at different stages in their journey. If you’re not doing this in email, you’re not doing it in video either.
If you’re just getting a sale here and there from email, you’re probably getting a sale here and there from video.
Once we improve your email strategy, your video strategy will automatically improve.
Let me give you an example: I joined a video coaching program and I was able to convert with video because I had a high converting email strategy.
I knew exactly what my messaging was, all of my client archetypes, and how to answer all their questions because I have written so many emails and have a proven process.
If I didn’t know my messaging because I’ve written so many emails, I would have not known to create a Day in the Life video called “Behind the Scenes of a Social Media Optional Launch”
If I didn’t know all my client archetypes because I’ve written so many emails, I would not have known to create an entire live video on tearing email copy up for those that already write emails but could be doing better, or how to sell with a small list, or why your funnel shouldn’t need more than just emails to convert (no DMs, no social selling, etc.)
If I didn’t know how to answer all my client’s questions or how to create a minimum 6 figure launch with email alone, then I would still be doing educational videos on my stories everyday rather than answering my client’s real objections
You could double your conversions all around, if you were writing better emails. Writing better emails nails your messaging and helps you hit all of your launch goals whether you do video or not.
You might think, “Well Kirsten, for me email is a happy bonus…because video is my main approach.”
If you’re not converting 50%, you have an email strategy problem and that problem is likely impacting your video strategy too.
Let’s talk about why your clients don’t need your face to convert
Your clients don’t need your face to convert, they need their questions answered.
If you keep only relying on video to convert, you’re simply not answering as many questions as possible and that’s going to keep you from making more money.
The reality is, long form content converts higher than video.
Here’s why:
You’re able to take one objection and write 10 emails from 10 different angles on it. Which alone will double your conversions.
You’re able to write an email on one thing and really piece it out in just 10 minutes, rather than a quick video “hot take” or having to spend an hour of your time on a live video.
A lot of my video queens say they convert more on video because their clients need to see them to trust them.
They don’t need to see you to trust you, they need to have their questions answered to trust you.
The only reason people are converting higher with your videos than your emails, is because you are creating more videos than emails.
You think people need your bubbly personality and smile on video to buy, when they just need their questions answered.
And instead of answering them in email, my video queens are writing essays on their story slides.
Another thing is, you’re not saying anything revolutionary in your videos as opposed to your email content. If you transcribed your videos into written form and read them, you’d see it’s not that revolutionary.
I did this to a Million Dollar Email Client recently, I literally pulled up a video of hers and read what she was saying out loud and it wasn’t this incredible piece of gold. You don’t create more gold when you’re able to just speak off the cuff. When you just create off the cuff, you’re just focusing on what you’re thinking not what your client is thinking. You’re focusing on how you feel confident selling, not what makes them feel confident buying.
I’m not saying people don’t buy from video, but notice how your thoughts about video being easier is for you, not your client.
Again, why do you think millionaires write emails? Do you think millionaires aren’t video queens too? I know plenty that are. Why do they write emails? Because that’s what their client needs.
This is why even with a Video Strategy, you need an Email one too
Email is the highest converting strategy because it answers so many questions. It’s the Millionaire’s strategy because it’s the easiest form of content to repurpose and is the easiest to delegate.
I cannot tell you how many of my clients have such a hard time delegating video repurposing into email content rather than email content into videos.
I’m all for you creating videos, but even outside of being an Email Person, I am also a systems person. And from a systems standpoint, email marketing is the easiest marketing technique to create, repurpose and convert from.
So with that, you’re like okay Kirsten but writing emails feels terrible to me. What are the reasons email writing feels more triggering and harder than video?
There are 3 reasons you aren’t writing like yourself and it feels like video is easier for you to communicate with your audience.
