Hello peaceful millionaires, today we are going to get spicy because I am so tired of hearing people say they want in-house support so we are going to clear this up today.
The reason I want to clear this up is because usually people will say they’d rather have in house support than an agency and this usually has them hiring for wrong reasons or actually overhiring.
I’ve also seen this thought process lead CEOs to hire an employee when they don’t need to.
So, in this episode we are going to go over:
And more
Okay so why do people usually want to hire in-house support?
There are 3 main reasons people want to hire in-house support:
Usually people will tell me they want to hire an in house marketing manager to help with their launches, ads and funnels. Or they want an in-house ops manager to help them run their entire business. Or they want an in-house designer so they can get as many designs as possible.
What people don’t realize is you can have all these things with an agency.
A lot of you are looking for in-house support rather than an agency instead of just asking for what support you’re looking for. Also, some of y’all think an agency needs to be in your systems when they really don’t, you and your team just need to be more organized.
I currently work with an operations agency and a design agency, and it is better than in-house support.
Here’s why:
Hiring in-house support for the wrong reasons is a huge waste of time and money. I have a client that came to me and wanted to hire a marketing assistant because she wants to get more launch content out there than she’s currently doing, and she just wants extra hands.
When I asked her why she isn’t currently getting more launch content out, she said she doesn’t have time. When I asked her why she doesn’t have time, she said it’s because she has to re-work her calendar.
One of my philosophies is not to make decisions on bad and busy weeks. So I said you need to evaluate why you aren’t getting more launch content out AFTER you apply your new calendar system. Then she realized, “oh I actually won’t have this issue once I have that in place.”
That saved her thousands of dollars a month in payroll.
The last thing I’ll say is a lot of y’all don’t like the idea of agencies having clients beside you and you worry that will limit your support.
When really, you need to ask them what their systems for working with clients are and you need to be a better CEO and have systems that make it easy to work with you. You want someone to drop everything the moment you call them because you’re not organized and you’re not delegating far enough in advance or not properly.
That is just going to have you overhiring and overpaying.
If you want to know what team, systems and mindset you need to scale to $1M a year and beyond peacefully, then you’re going to want to get ready to join Million Dollar CEO.
See you in the next episode.
