Hello Part Time Millionaires!
Let me give you some behind the scenes of my life recently. So, I have realized this year more than ever that the capacity required for a 100K business versus a 500K-$1M business is very different. And having a part time schedule is very important to me and being as present as possible in my personal life is very important to me.
And since both my husband and I work, we have really been talking a lot about the need for a lifestyle team.
Now, I’ve had a house manager before and it was wonderful. But I was having a hard time finding one again which isn’t uncommon. So I decided to get creative and I am so happy I did.
I started with deciding what exactly I wanted and then I sourced people based on that.
So we have hired a Family Executive Assistant and this role is virtual, but she will be in charge of coordinating our lives and miscellaneous lifestyle contractors like the housekeepers and such. And as I was writing out everything I wanted to delegate I just was blown away by how much I was carrying.
And I know that is the case for so many of my clients.
But the thing I find interesting when I’m coaching my clients on building a lifestyle team, they have a significantly harder time hiring for that than hiring for their business. And so I wasn’t surprised that despite living in a major city, it actually wasn’t easy to find someone.
Yet still, I did and in just a few weeks of creating the role.
And this is because I am really great at helping my clients creatively hire. And I want to be clear, not hire people for things out of scope, but getting creative with the hiring process.
