I can’t tell you how many people thank me for how clearly and abundantly I sell because it helps them feel safe to buy.
Sending multiple emails creates demand for your next launch. You will write emails that help people get interested and engaged for future launches. Even if you sell on evergreen, you will perk the ears of people on your list for future sales. My clients and I constantly have people tell us that they’ve been waiting since the last launch to join. No new lead generation required, just engaging your current email list.
Sending multiple emails builds your brand and visibility, without even being on social media. The people that want to buy from you want to read everything you send and they love receiving your emails. My clients constantly get reply backs and messages saying how much their emails have improved and how they are hanging on every word. It deepens your brand and its closeness to your audience as well as increases visibility, because people begin sharing your emails with their audience.
Sending multiple emails helps you create a bank of content to re-use so you can do less later. You never have to start from scratch again and can even begin repurposing across different platforms without doing more work.

Now, let’s talk about segmenting. I teach simple segmenting. Simple segmenting means you only segment during a launch when it is not yet open to the public. For example, when you drove people to a waitlist or webinar, you’re only sending emails to them during the bonus period, before it’s open to the public.
I also teach that you can segment people out of driving emails when they’ve already joined the list. So for example, let’s say you’re driving to the waitlist and someone joins, you can segment those people that have joined out so they don’t receive your drive to waitlist emails. I don’t, but that’s because I am selling an email program and it’s on brand for me to have everyone see all my emails.
So I teach simple segmenting.
The Bros and Beckys will tell you to only sell certain things to certain segments and make sure you never email someone who joined a certain list because they didn’t sign up for anything else. When that isn’t true. If you signed up for someone’s email list, you signed up to receive any marketing emails. And there’s an unsubscribe button you can use anytime. I don’t teach my clients to ask people if they want to be segmented out during launches or create a ton of list segments to separate who signed up when and for what and only email them about that. No. It’s unnecessary.
You send emails, you do simple segmenting as you desire, and you let people unsubscribe.
And a lot of people will comment on or ask about why I don’t teach people to super segment their list and the answer is simple: it’s complicated and unnecessary. And more specifically, it usually comes from the thought that selling a lot to your list is wrong or spammy and it isn’t.
I have changed peoples lives because of how much I sell to my email list.
And the Bros and Beckys don’t make as much money as my clients. Simple as that.
So something we do really well inside MDE is prepare people for unsubscribes and negative reply backs.
We literally celebrate unsubscribes in the channel lol.
But what I tell all my clients is that you will get negative reply backs and unsubscribes and that’s for one simple reason: your emails aren’t relevant to them.
People unsubscribe when emails aren’t relevant to them.
I have had so many people unsubscribe and tell me I send too many emails and I need to be more respectful and I need to segment them out, and a lot of them have come back and even joined my program.
And a lot of them haven’t.
But what can they say y’all?

We’re making money.
People love our emails!!
I have literally had people tell me that they don’t want to be sold too so much and that I need to re-think my strategy, and I’m like….somebody tell my accountant because he don’t want to me to switch up. He said keep going LOL
But I don’t take unsubscribes or reply backs personally because if my emails were relevant to them, they wouldn’t have a problem. But they aren’t, so I just let them go. Sending more emails is such a beautiful, natural list cleaner.
Now, how should we all start interacting with email marketing as business owners?
If you’re receiving multiple emails a week or day and they aren’t relevant to you, just unsubscribe.
Because y’all get really weird about email over any other platform which is funny. Because you’re getting notifications day in and day out on your phones that you just clear, but when you get a couple emails you freak out. You don’t ask anybody to stop making so many story mini training or feed posts or reels or live videos, but some of y’all will flip if you get some emails LOL
Interact with email marketing the same way you do with any other platform.
Unsubscribe the same way you do when you mute someone else’s stories or unfollow somebody.
Archive the emails if you want to stay on that person’s list but don’t want to hear about their launch this round.
